After having my second child I completely lost myself. I didn't know who I was anymore beyond "mom." Restore & Rise gave me a space where I could cry, breathe, and slowly start to remember who I am. The postpartum support sessions were life-changing — I finally had a room full of women who truly understood. I came in broken and left with a renewed sense of purpose.
I left my marriage with nothing — no job, no savings, and no confidence. Restore Her helped me build a budget for the first time in my life, finish my GED, and land a job I am genuinely proud of. One year later I have my own apartment and I finally feel free. I didn't think any of this was possible for someone like me. This program proved me wrong in the best way.
I came in thinking I just needed a few tips on how to handle stress. I left with a whole family. These women get it — they've been through it. Rise Together made me feel like I was never alone, even on my worst days. We hold each other accountable and celebrate each other's wins. I have not felt that kind of sisterhood since I was a teenager, and I did not realize how much I was missing it.
I didn't even realize what was happening to me was abuse. I thought I was just bad at relationships and that I needed to try harder. Rise Safe opened my eyes to what healthy love actually looks like and helped me understand my own patterns. For the first time in years, I trust myself again. I am no longer afraid to say what I feel or to walk away from something that hurts me.
Being a young mom is hard, especially when your own family is not very supportive. This program gave me the tools, the knowledge, and the courage to show up for my son every single day without guilt. The facilitators treat you like a whole person, not just a statistic. I am a better, more confident mother because of what I learned and experienced here. My son deserves that.
After 12 years out of the workforce, I was convinced it was too late for me to start over. Restore Her proved every one of those doubts wrong. They helped me refresh my resume, practice for interviews, and most importantly believe that my experience and my story still have value. I start my new position next Monday. I feel like myself again — and that alone is worth everything.
